
Prince Charles has received the go-ahead to build his eco-village, Knockroon, in Scotland. The 700+ home development designed through the Prince's Trust for the Built Environment makes it possible to live, shop and work within five minutes' commute of home. Unfortunately, the Prince's land is right next to a sewage plant, so some work will first be required. Prince Charles is also working on plans to run Clarence House off solar electricity.
Zara Phillips and Peter Phillips: In Department of What's That Thing on Their Heads, the children of Princess Anne and Mark Phillips have both been photographed with interesting headgear at yesterday's Canterbury Cathedral wedding of friends Anna Martin and Will Harland. Mark, who was there with his wife Autumn, wore a woollen beanie cap; Zara wore a bizarre lacy contraption somewhat akin to a Borg implant, but actually known as a fascinator.

Insurance and financial advisor Ronnie Driver has died. Among his clients were the Queen, the late Queen Mother, the Duchess of York and Princess Michael of Kent. The funeral, to be held this coming week, will probably feature a Royal or two.
The Daily Telegraph has published its Royal Family photos of the decade. Well worth a look, the chosen images include those of the Princes William and Harry as they grow up; the funerals of Princess Margaret and the Queen Mother; the Queen after her operation to remove a lesion; and a scene from the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
