Tom Sturridge's new film, 'Waiting for Forever' to be featured at Nashville Film Festival in April

Seems like there is always a British-U.K. connection to Nashville. Perhaps it’s because creative minds think alike! The Nashville Film Festival has just announced that Tom Sturridge’s new film, Waiting for Forever is going to be featured at the 2010 Nashville Film Festival in the Narrative Feature Competition. The festival takes place April 15-22 at the Regal Cinema in Nashville. Nearly 2,200 entries have been received this year - an all time record!

About the Movie
Waiting for Forever is a romantic comedy about a young man (Sturridge) who is content to live his life without a job as long as he can be with the love of his life, a young actress, Emma Twist (Rachel Bilson, star of TV's "The O.C." and the movie, "Jumper"). Life has gotten complicated for actress Emma Twist. Her mediocre TV show has been canceled, she's on the rocks with her boyfriend Aaron, and her father’s illness has been deemed terminal.

To make matters worse, her childhood friend, Will Donner, (Sturridge) whom she hasn't laid eyes on since they were children, has decided now is the time to profess his true feelings for her. To Will, Emma never stopped being the most important person in his life. Believing them to be forever linked, he goes wherever she goes. Will doesn't have a home, a car, or a "real" job. He survives on his talent as a juggler and entertainer-talents honed through years of showing off for Emma.

When everyone unexpectedly converges in Emma's hometown, questions of family, love, and how we live our lives are explored. A unique love story about friendship and a view of the world from different perspectives, Waiting for Forever appears to be one of those refreshing little films that make a connection with people everywhere

Written by Steve Adams, this movie was filmed and produced on a slim $5 million dollar budget by Catfish Productions and is directed by James Keach, (husband to the actress, Jane Seymour). The movie will be released nationwide in 2010.

"The quality of films I had to choose from this year was outstanding," said NaFF artistic director Brian Owens. "Each year I feel that talented filmmakers from around the world are raising the bar on what's possible to bring to the screen, and getting even more creative in how they are telling stories. I could easily program an entire other festival with what I couldn't fit in. I'm excited to bring such a stellar variety of films to Tennessee."

Entries to the 2010 Nashville Film Festival, which began in July of last year, reached a new level this year, with 2,216 feature-length narrative, documentary and short films from 82 countries.

The Festival takes place at the Regal Green Hills Stadium 16, located at 3815 Green Hills Village Drive, near the Mall at Green Hills.  The theater features stadium-style seating and Dolby digital sound. Filmmakers and audiences from around the world have heralded Nashville's festival as one of their favorites.

Mmmm...I forgot - there's a hyphen between Tom and Sturridge. I will change that in my article. These are official:
    www.tom-sturridge.com and tomsturridge.org.

Thanks for bringing my attention to this!
