Week 10 fantasy focus: Brett Favre vs. Detroit Lions

Brett Favre, groin issues and all, returns to football in Week 10, along with his 7-1 Minnesota Vikings, to take on the hapless 1-7 Detroit Lions.

Can you say fantasy owner's dream?

Experts and fans alike have doubted Favre from every angle this season, but have continued to be proven wrong, as the 40-year old gunslinger has tossed nearly 2,000 yards in eight games, to go with 16 touchdown passes and an un-characteristically low three interceptions.

Those numbers are trends, folks, and don't expect them to change. Adrian Peterson and the rest of Minnesota's offense is helping Favre just about as much as he's helping them, and despite what many Favre-haters will lead you to believe, his infamous late-season fade isn't going to happen this year.

As for Week 10 and the Detroit Lions, Favre is a golden fantasy option. He makes a better play over several fantasy options this week, as his defense should keep a horrible offense that scored just 13 points against them in week two, under wraps.

Favre should be free to do as he pleases all day against a porous Lions defense, one that allowed Seattle Seahawk's quarterback Matt Hasselbeck to sit comfortably in the pocket and complete 39-52 passes for 300+ yards and a touchdown.

Look for Favre to continue his roll with 250+ yards and three scores, despite Adrian Peterson likely running all over the Lions.

Nice write up on Favre by Kevin Roberts. It's contagious the excitment Brett Favre is bringing to the football game each week. I am finding myself wanting to check out this site just to see how the legend is doing. The outlook is full steam ahead for Brett as the season unfolds with possibly the Vikings in for a super bowl contender spot. Well see!
