In his "Conspiracy Theory" series, movie star, professional wrestler, former Navy SEAL and former Minnesota governor, Jesse Ventura, takes on HAARP, the High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program.
The official story of what the giga-watt broadcasting antennae array outside Gakona, Alaska is that it is for scientific research, primarily for communication studies: "a premier facility for the study of ionospheric physics and radio science," according to their official website.
"Why all the secrecy, then?" asks Ventura. And "Why is the Army running the place?" The facility barred him from having access, even though he is a former governor and Navy SEAL.

Matt Imber asks and interesting question. "Where are they getting all the energy to run that place?" Noting that there are no apparent over-land transmission lines, he wonders if maybe they don't have some kind of zero point energy or other exotic sequestered technology providing power. One of the people in the show mentioned being involved in setting up some kind of coal power component. Was that what they told the workers to hide another method? The aerial views shown on Ventura's show don't show any smoke stacks putting out smoke or steam.

I read this story last week and today I read the story about the north pole shifting towards Serbia (news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2009/12/091224-north-pole-magnetic-russia-earth-core) . What struck me is the comment "In 1989 it sped up again, and in 2007 scientists confirmed that the pole is now galloping toward Siberia at 34 to 37 miles (55 to 60 kilometers) a year." Then I looked when the HAARP project was started. It was 1990 and it is located between the magnetic north and Seriba.
Could it be that HAARP is attracting the magnetic pole?
The poles are constantly moving every day and every year. The rate of this movement varies. We are in a time of rapid movement but its not unusual in the vast history of earth. As far as HAARP being the cause of this movement, its not. Magnetic poles just shift. Thats their nature.

I wrote my book, Escape from Manhattan during a Northern Canadian blizzard in Feb 2011 and used this phrase for the title never thinking that it would be an event in Aug 2011 for the people of Manhattan. So relieved that it didn't cause the expected damage.
