Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have apparently been looking to buy property in France near the historic mansion that they currently share.
What type of property, exactly? Wineries.
Why were Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt turned down trying to buy a winery in the South of France? Celebrity gossip.
Green celebrities, eco-friendly humanitarians or not, the French worry whether or not they want the famous pair to own an even bigger piece of their regional history.
Thanks to tabloid news, the Jolie-Pitt clan may be suffering now from the grapes of wrath.
WINERY OWNERS REFUSE TO SELL PROPERTY TO BRAD PITT AND ANGELINA JOLIE
It seems the celebrity couple were hoping to buy several winery facilities near where they reside part of the year now -- in the luxury estate home Chateau Mirval.

Pitt and Jolie both are known to enjoy a glass of fine wine on a regular basis. To own a winery would give them an opportunity to produce their own stock and also a way to cleverly leave a thriving family owned business to their children and grandchildren for after they are dead and gone.
POSSIBLE REASONS WHY JOLIE-PITT WINERY PURCHASE TURNED DOWN
As the couple's lucrative income certainly would allow them to purchase a property an almost any cost, it's a curious case why the Benjamin Button star and his blockbuster United Nations volunteering movie star mistress would be turned down.
Local rumors suggest the residents of the nearby towns are disturbed by the press. Others from the provincial French region seem to believe that the history of the region itself as a traditional retreat with uncompromisingly simplistic elegance would be tarnished as a place designed to (bottle by bottle) advertise the stars.

More disconcerting is a gossip claim that local residents may believe Ian Halperin and Andrew Morton, tabloid writers with their hearts and wallets set on destroying the reputation of Brangelina in support of Pitt's ex-wife Jennifer Aniston. If the negative spin and slanderous stories are true, the story circulating in private conversations at dinner tables in France might be that they are not interested in having such a vulgar pair as neighbors.
