How Much Oil Has Leaked into the Gulf?
Nobody knows for certain how much oil has leaked into the Gulf of Mexico in the last 66 days. What we have available are estimates from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), from experts, from BP and from the Obama Administration.
A barrel of crude oil contains roughly 42 gallons.
According to NOAA, the leaking well has surpassed the spill of the Exxon Valdez by many times with estimates as high as 100,000 barrels per day or an equivelent of 4.2 million gallons per day.

Pretty cool stuff for the snatching
Makes me wonder how much oil is in the earth.
Come on I can't believe that BP doesn't know how much is coming out. I wonder how much was the rig if it were still here how much oil would it be processing a day. And seriously if you have a certain diameter pipe is it that hard to figure out.
Got something to say?
