Déjà vu conclusion to Bute-Andrade II will lead to serial rematches

Saturday’s Lucian Bute-Librado Andrade rematch will be surprisingly like their first fight last year. Bute (24-0) will thoroughly outpoint Andrade for 11 rounds, and the bout will end in controversy with Bute officially coming out on top again.

On Showtime in the first meeting in October 2008, you may recall, Andrade landed a huge punch in the final minute and managed to knock Bute down in the corner with less than 10 seconds to go. As the rules stipulated that he could not be saved by the bell, Bute needed to beat a 10-count to avoid a knockout loss and retain his IBF super-middleweight title, and the arguments regarding whether he beat the count rage on.

I say Bute got up quickly enough, by the way, so I’ve never eager to see this rematch.

This time, on HBO’s “Boxing After Dark,” Bute will cuff Andrade around so much that by Round 12 the Mexican slugger’s face will look even worse than Miguel Cotto’s did against Manny Pacquiao. Bute, nauseated and beseeching a stoppage of the fight, will press on reluctantly but will faint in the final seconds and may or may not get up, or need to, depending on how the rules are interpreted.

In the third bout, in a similarly nauseous situation, Bute will faint and go down to one knee, and Andrade will hit him while he’s down – or not, by the reckoning of some.

Bute will win six such matches over Andrade, all told, and they will cumulatively become known as the Stupor Six. As to the variety of Round 12 ramifications that will come into play, I leave that to your imagination.

MOLINA FACES HONORIO: After the Bute-Andrade bout,  you can flip to Showtime to watch John Molina in a main event against Martin Honorio, a slugger whose signature bout from a Bay Area standpoint was his 2007 one-round knockout loss to Robert Guerrero. Don’t linger too long at the refrigerator during this one.

Who cares about Bute and Andrade. Nobody knows or heard about these two "what's their name again?". Steve is right - you're an idiot. Do you want to be a big shot boxing reporter? Write something about "the big shots". Wake up, man. Didn't you hear that Manny and Floyd are the hottest stuff in boxing town? Stupid!

Hey stupid idiot, if you want to write something about Manny and Floyd remember not to write something incendiary. Or nobody will read your items anymore. asshol^!

Geez, I write about Pacquiao virtually once a week and I write about Bute (who's in the same division as Bay Area stalwart Andre Ward) about once a year. Steve may have had a point, but I'm Not Steve should just shut up.
