It was a great weekend of boxing and below are the headliners.

Friday, 13th of November, 2009

At the Club Atletico Huracan, Buenos Aires, Distrito Federal, Argentina, heavyweight Gonzalo Omar Basile (42-4-0-20 KOs) defeated Saul Farah (39-12-2, 31 KOs) to win the WBO Latino heavyweight title and the WBC Mundo Hispano heavyweight title. The fight was stopped in the 8th round after Farah was knocked down.

At the Brisbane Convention Centre, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, cruiserweight Brad Pitt (2-0-0, 2 KOs) recorded his TKO victory over Atalili Fai (1-5-0, I KO). Was it Brad Pitt the actor? No. 

At the Shaw Conference Centre, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, lightweight Ann Saccurato (15-4-2, 6 KOs) gained the WBC female lightweight title after registering a unanimous decision over Jelena Mrdjenovich (23-5-1, 11 KOs).

At the Casino de Deauville, Deauville, Calvados, France, middleweight Aslanbek Kodzoev (20-3-1) won a unanimous decision over Shalva Jomardashvili (26-1-0, 19 KOs). Jomardashvili down in round 5 and down twice in round 8.

At the EKZ "Helle Mitte", Marzahn-Hellersdorf, Berlin, Germany, middleweight Thomas “TNT” Troelenberg (20-0-0, 10 KOs) won by decision over Marco Schulze (29-5-1, 17 KOs) in their 10 rounder.

At the Sathukarn Square, Hua Hin, Prachuabkirikhan, Thailand, Terdsak Jandaeng (36-3-1, 23 KOs) knocked out Jack Asis (20-13-4, 10 KOs) in the fifth round to win the WBC Asian Boxing Council super featherweight title.

On the under-card:
Sod Looknongyangtoy (43-2-1, 18 KOs) beat Richard Olisa (18-9-1) to win the WBC Asian Boxing Council super bantamweight title.

At the Fenton Manor Sports Complex, Stoke, Staffordshire, United Kingdom, Lovemore N'dou (47-11-2, 31 KOs) fought a 12 round draw with Matthew Hatton (37-4-2. 14 KOs) for the IBO International Boxing Organization’s welterweight title.

On the under-card:
Darren McDermott (17-2-1, 9 KOs) beat Danny Butler (18-2-0, 3 KOs) to win the BBB of C English middleweight title.

Super featherweight Scott Lawton (27-5-1, 6 KOs) gained a TKO victory in the sixth round by defeating Derry Mathews (21-4-0, 11 KOs)

At the Grand Casino, Hinckley, Minnesota, super middleweight Matt Vanda (42-9-0, 22 KOs) won a split decision victory over Phil “The Drill” Williams (11-2-0, 10 KOs).

On the under-card:
Super-featherweight Wilton Hilario (12-0-1, 9 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Leon Bobo (18-4-1, 2 KOs).

At the Mandalay Bay House of Blues, Las Vegas, Nevada, Juan Alberto Rosas (31-5-0, KOs) won a 12 round unanimous decision over Federico Catubay (25-15-3, 13 KOs).

On the under-card:
Welterweight Michel Rosales (25-3-0, 21 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Mark Jason Melligen (16-2-0, 12 KOs).
Bantamweight Z Gorres (31-2-2, 17 KOs) won a unanimous decision over Luis Melendez (26-4-1, 21 KOs).
