GRAPEVINE, TEXAS - While Manny, Freddy, Jerry and Bob get most of the accolades from fans and media, there are always people that quietly go about there work in the boxing business without any fanfare.

One of them just seemed to blend into the background Tuesday at the open workout of Manny Pacquiao at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas.

Rob Peters is in charge of security for Manny Pacquiao. He has been at the job for a few years. He's a big, tall, physically imposing fellow and you would never know he's really a pretty nice guy until you talk to him.

He's the one that guards the Wild Card Gym in Hollywood, CA while Manny Pacquiao and Freddie Roach perform their magic and he has the unenviable task of telling fans and others that Manny isn't seeing visitors at that time.

"So far Manny is very pleased with Dallas," said Peters. "The organization and the facilities are tremendous. Manny already said he'd like to come back again," said Peters.

"The Gaylord Texan is on par or better than any facility in The Philippines or Las Vegas. And of course Cowboys Stadium is one of a kind.

"Other than his morning jogs, Manny won't leave the hotel."

Peters is from Boston, Massachusetts, just like trainer Freddie Roach. However they never met in Boston. It wasn't until they were each living near Hollywood, CA.

Peters is responsible for coordinating all security. He has to deal with fight promoters, local police, sheriffs, hotel security, airport, stadium and private security so everyone is on the same page regarding Pacquiao and his movement at all times, 24 hours per day.

"Manny is really thrilled with this turnout. I can see he's playing to the crowd. He's having a good time," said Peters.

"If Manny is happy, I'm usually happy," Peters added with a sly grin.

Peters is also very tactful in doing his job. He can say "leave" to the fans without really saying it. I liked it when Peters booted out those politicians from the Philippines. Those politicians didn't liked it - but what the heck, they don't like a lot of things here in the States because they are not in control. Great job Mr. Peters.

Rob Peters, and the Wild Card staff are always friendly, and do their jobs without trying to offend Manny's fans. That's what makes Manny so popular, he's just like them.

PPV-HD ready on saturday march 13... piles of chilled beer and peanuts are ready too... it would be an exciting fight of PacMan again as always.. Definitely no PPV buy for boring KFC Floyd Gayweather Jr. here... we are boycotting because Floyd only love himself and money but not the boxing fans... Go PacMan!!!
