I've never been willing to spend a lot of money on purses because I don't like lugging them around. Since I haven't found another convenient way to carry my go everywhere necessities, I reluctantly carry a purse. Usually my purses come from Target or Shopko and rarely make a fashion statement. But that has now changed. In May a friend introduced me to Lillians in Fond du Lac, and I had a purse epiphany.
There are so many things to like about Lillians. The merchandise is devoted to purses, wallets, plus a few other accessories like jewelry, scarves and sun glasses. The shop is well lit, easy to navigate, and chock full of various purse designs which change each month. But, most unique is that Lillians is only open for four days each month! While you might think this is inconvenient, I find it very exciting because it means a trip to Lillian's must be planned......like an adventure!
The purses are worth the wait, also. These are not "knock offs" or counterfeit but are designer quality purses which reflect current trends in accessories. The stitching, fabric material, lining, and overall quality are excellent plus the prices are not exorbitant. I do not coddle my purses, and they are often tossed on the floor, dropped, or thrown aside with little regard to its well being. But after abusing my Lillians purchases they still look new and unfazed by their mistreatment.
Lillians is a franchise but is always found on a city's main street, not in a mall. Wisconsin has five locations with Fond du lac being the one closest to the Fox River Valley.
