According to an interview with director Chris Weitz in the Los Angeles Times, the soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: New Moon will feature music from Muse, Radiohead, Band of Skulls, and others. The interview is a July update at the end of an article recounting a May visit to the New Moon set in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The director also revealed that, at Comic-Con International in San Diego this Thursday, he will be releasing footage from the film that has never been seen before. The sequence of scenes will include an action scene with special effects and a love scene.
Stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will soon be heading back to the Canadian city to begin filming Eclipse--the third installment of the Twilight series based on the fantasy books by Stephenie Meyer.
The Twilight Saga: New Moon is due out in theaters November 20, 2009.

Woooow dats great!
omg. yes! i cant wait for the clips at comic con!
Damn! Damn! Damn! I really can't express how much I'm hating Twilight right now. Why Muse and Radiohead? AGAIN? I just... Ugh, I can't write. This is unbearable. Why that rubbishy saga has to mess up my favourite bands? Why?
to Ale--i'm not real sure how twilight is going to mess up your favorite bands-they are the authors writing inspiration and having them on the soundtrack can only give them a wider fan base-how is that bad? just don't watch the movie and you'll be fine and nothing will be ruined for you
What Radiohead song do you think it is?
Oh yeah this is going to be so great! and especially comi con coming up with the twilight cast there!
I don't know if I can call Twilighters 'a proper fan base'. Liking a song because it was featured in a movie, and because the bands are the author's favourite ones don't make anyone 'a fan' (I was a Twilighter once; I know where I'm coming from). Well, I know I'm generalising, and that's not good in any aspect; and I'm writing this from the anger I'm feeling; but sadly, the few Twilighters I know prove me I may be right.
It's sad when you find out that your favourite band is being called 'the Twilight's band' or 'Stephenie Meyer's favourite band'; when you whole-heartedly think that their music is great and that they deserve a kind of appreciation that doesn't relate to the one they got because a song of them was featured on a teen movie.
Finally, I think I exaggerated I little with the 'mess up my bands'. I'll continue loving them, despite the path they choose to follow (I hope so).
Everyone just needs to calm down. Their just bands. (Everyone who abosluteley worships them, just keep it to your self.) They are part of a cool creation which happened to be some really amazing bands. I don't know how that's bad. Right now, I am going from Twilight fan to Harry Potter fan, But IT'S NOT THAT BAD!
This is one of the most aggravating things that has happened to me. I'm truly a radiohead worshiper and I don't want a bunch of tweenagers acting like they like my band because it was on twilight. It already happened to muse.
ok.. so just because "your" band is on twilight it makes it so unbearable?? Jeez... wouldn't you want "your" favorite band to make some money to keep recording for you! Quit being so selfish. If they were in any other movies besides twilight you would be stoked! Twilight has a much bigger fan base than you think! You are basically bashing these bands because you know they have to GIVE PERMISSION to be on the soundtrack in the first place. So really you don't sound like much of a big fan. More like you are insulting radiohead and muse for wanting to make a bigger fan base!! Props to radiohead and muse! keep doing what your doing even if your "real" fans are upset!!! We love you still the same
Thanks for the comments!
Those of you who aren't in favor of one or more of these groups being on the soundtrack--could you explain a bit more why? Is it because you're not a TWILIGHT fan, so you just don't want to see your group associated with it, or do you just disagree that their music doesn't fit the story or style, or is it more that you fear your group is "selling out" to a big, commercial franchise? I'm just curious, since several of you have strong feelings on this.
Thanks, again, for commenting!

There is nothing wrong with them picking awesome music for an awesome movie. IF you don't like it, don't watch or listen to it!!! It is not going to mess up anything. Get over it. They can't make everyone happy!!! But they sure made me happy. Sorry about your luck! Keep up the good work!!!! I cannot wait for the rest of the movies to come to life!!!!! TRUE FANS DON'T CARE ABOUT THE PETTY STUFF!!!!
It's better than having those Jonas Brothers.
i don't get how muse and radiohead being on the soundtrack "messes them up". were you not aware that these bands inspired the books? muse, more importantly?
it's nice to see radiohead is confirmed. their song was only in the credits for the first movie. :)
i'm hoping for "falling away with you" or "escape" from muse. i'm not a huge radiohead fan, but alot of people are telling me "creep" would fit almost perfectly.
I love radiohead. the band will be the last I'd rather hear before I die.
However, I really don't know what the fuss about the book series is. I read few paragraphs, and I'll personally say that I respect people who's a fan because of that stoner looking "man candy" more than those people who consider the books to be literature master piece. I hope I make sense here.
But if Radiohead (I hear it's Thom Yorke specifically) produces new release to make the waiting for their new album to come out less tormenting, I'll be happy either way. Twilight or no Twilight.
But yeah, I'm mildly disappointed at the fact that Thom decides to release the songs to people whose general audience are bunch of 14 year old girls. Oh well.
I wanna die
It will be the worst my b-day ever...

Thank you very much for actually taking the time to read these posts. Many fans of both Muse and Radiohead are angry with this choice because they do not wish to see their band take on new "fans" who only know them by one song. I am a huge fan of Muse and have been for several years. When Supermassive Blackhole made it into the Twilight tracklist, millions of preteens began to play this song to no end, few listening to any other songs by this band. This brought muse popularity but on a shallow basis. An example of this is an article in entertainment weekly stating that muse's new single "United States of Eurasia" reminds them of edward culen playing queen covers on the piano. I'm sure you understand my frustration with this.
Thanks, Connor, for explaining the frustration among "true fans" for us, and you're very welcome about my reading the discussions. I read each and every post on my articles that people are kind enough to take the time to write.
Thank YOU for posting!

What some people are commenting about is ridiculous.
Does it really matter that people only like a band because of one song they heard in a movie? SO WHAT? Who the hell should care? That's their choice. Besides, no one can honestly say they've never obsessed over one song from a band and said they're huge fans. You can be a huge fan of a band just for one song you like...people are just reacting so negatively about this because it's Twilight, and not some real-life crisis movie, or something they heard on the radio. Just suck it up.
I was like that, too. I didn't like Iron and Wine, nor had I ever heard of them, until the movie came out. Now, I love their music.
Is it so bad to like a song or a band just because it came from a movie?
Oh...that's right. I almost forgot...that's what this comment is about. Me lecturing you to get over it.
So, please...whoever DOES care about this, DO get over it.
Thank you (:
Its trueee.. I mean I love that song that's played when bella's in the school parking lot and she's planing to confront edward, and ask him what his problem is, the one that goes.. ohhh ohh ohh ohhhh ohh ohh ohhh ohhuuhhhh.. ino all the words haha:) like musee.. I hate all there other songs, but I definately love supermassive black hole, ilove the linkin park song, but hate all there other songss.. what's the crime people, can't wait till new moon soundtrack comes out :) when DOES it come out?? Really wish paramore was on it, there my favourite band, of all timee!! :) 'x
mmmm...
to Ellieee... the song you like is Blue Foundation - Eyes on fire
as for me I like all those songs, I hope the New Moon sound will be as good as the Twilight one...
