The Reading Tub is a volunteer-driven, non-profit dedicated to promoting reading and literacy

Do you want your kids to succeed in life? Of course you do. Parents want their children to do well, but don’t always know how to help them succeed. One way to help your child is to read with them. I started reading Winnie the Pooh to my daughter when she was just a few weeks old. I know what you’re thinking; an infant doesn’t understand the philosophy of Pooh. That’s ok; I wasn’t reading it just for her. I was reading aloud to practice and to bond with my child. It had been years since I read aloud, and I wasn’t very good at it.

Reading to your child regularly will help them develop language skills. So, where do you go to find books that will interest your child? How about looking on the web at “The Reading Tub” website?

The Reading Tub is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting reading and literacy. The website launched in October 2003, with one goal in mind: be a viable, free literacy resource for adults who help children learn to read. The Reading Tub

Their target audience is children ages 0 to 13. The hope is that children will love reading, but at a minimum, the volunteers that run the site want them to be successful at it! To get there, the site is striving to be the resource their parents, teachers, librarians, and other adults come to first.

Jump in the Tub to find great books you and your children will love to share, and learn about ways to encourage your child's love of reading.
