Mitch Albom to release new novel

Every avid book reader knows who Mitch Albom is - author of Tuesdays with Morrie, the inspirational nonfiction story about a young man who befriends a wise elder, learning life’s lessons along the way, and The Five People You Meet in Heaven, about a man who dies thinking his life was void only to learn his impact through five different people. He also wrote For One More Day, a book about exactly what the title says, asking us what we would do for one more day with a lost loved one. Albom has added another nonfiction novel - a follow-up story - to his list of works.

Mitch Albom’s upcoming novel, Have a Little Faith, is set for release in September 2009. It’s about two men’s lives: one is a poor, Christian, African-American; the other one is a white, uppity, Jewish man. Together they learn from each other how to survive and B&N writes “it is one man’s journey, but it is everyone’s story” of the novel.

And the new book will probably be turned into a movie like his other books have been. Although the movies are touching, his books have always been better. Tuesdays with Morrie was on the bestseller's list for four years and “has sold more than 14 million copies in more than 50 editions around the world,” according to Mitch Albom’s website, while The Five People You Meet in Heaven sold “over 11 million copies in 38 territories and in 35 languages,” as reported here. Truly the best is expected out of Mitch Albom and based on the expectations and reviews of his other novels, he is sure to succeed.
