Gambler, world-renowned bar owner and all around local good guy/character P Moss has joined with CityLife Books to release his first book, a short story collection aptly titled "Blue Vegas."
The man behind Double Down Saloon and the Asstini will celebrate the release of "Blue Vegas" with an avant-garde party at 8 p.m. March 2 at his famous anti-Vegas dive.
"Blue Vegas" is the first book for P Moss, in which he "captures the spirit of the city and focuses on the raw human emotions unique to the people who live and work in Las Vegas."
For the fête, Moss has booked a troupe of extreme circus freaks, the SwingShift SideShow, which includes Andrew S., Kelvikta the Blade and Jenn O. Cide (serving as MC for the evening) - brings classic carnival entertainment screaming into the 21st century. Guests will witness ancient and deadly feats of skill along with jaw-dropping and eye-popping original stunts, including sword swallowing, fire performances, belly dancing and mind-over-body demonstrations. Spinning on the turntables is DJ Rex Dart of the Bargain DJ Collective. Guests will also enjoy a reading by the author and book signing.
"Blue Vegas" will be available at area bookstores and online retailers, and is available for advance purchase at www.amazon.com, www.StephensPress.com and www.readbluevegas.com. Double Down Saloon is located at 4640 Paradise Rd. The party is free and open to the public, 21 years of age and older.
