Ian Halperin's latest book will be released July 14.
In December, investigative journalist and bestselling author Ian Halperin made a public prediction.
He told the world Michael Jackson would be dead in six months.
As the world waits for more autopsy results Halperin is coming forth with a new book, "Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson." The book was written last year and is set for release July 14. Halperin spoke at length with Meredith Vieira this morning on NBC's "Today" show. His focused opinions on the star's life and unfortunate decisions is interesting to watch.
Halperin explores Michael's medical issues and personal habits. He comes to the conclusion that greed killed the King of Pop.
From the publisher, Simon: "Friends and associates paint a tragic picture of the last years and days of his life as Jackson made desperate attempts to prepare for the planned concert series at London's 02 Arena in July 2009. These shows would have earned millions for the singer and his entourage, but he could never have completed them, not mentally, and not physically. Michael knew it and his advisors knew it. Anyone who caught even a fleeting glimpse of the frail old man hiding beneath the costumes and cosmetics would have understood that the London tour was madness. Why did it happen this way? After an intense five year investigation, New York Times bestselling author Ian Halperin uncovers the real story of Michael Jackson's final years, a suspenseful and surprising thriller."
Amazon is taking pre-orders for the $25 book for $16.87.
