In anticipation of Sarah Palin's upcoming memoir, Going Rogue: An American Life, publishers are eagerly producing their own takes on the Palin phenomenon, all with the punny moniker Going Rouge.
Newly birthed publishing house OR Books is releasing the most scathing of the Palin critiques, Going Rouge: Sarah Palin, An American Nightmare. The book will be a collection of essays about Palin's A Star is Born-esque rise to political fame, as well as possible implications of any future Palin success.
Richard Kim and Betsy Reed, editors of The Nation, a well-known left-leaning news magazine, will compile the Palin essays. An American Nightmare also bears a cover and title akin to Palin's memoir, and will be released on Nov. 17, the same date An American Life will debut.
In a more lighthearted spoof, cartoonist Julie Sigwart and political satirist Micheal Stinson are self-publishing Going Rouge: The Sarah Palin Rogue Coloring & Activity Book. The coloring book also drops on Nov. 17, and includes pages of spoof campaign buttons, word searches, oil pipeline mazes and, of course, matching games with pigs and lipstick.
