Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" and Malcolm Gladwell's "The Tipping Point" are among the longest-standing members of the Amazon.com top-100 bestseller list, according to a review done this morning.
Gladwell's "The Tipping Point" has spent 1,072 days on the Amazon top 100. Gladwell's "Outliers" has been in the top 100 for 394 days, and his most recent work, "What the Dog Saw" is no. 26 on the Amazon list.
Needless to say, Gladwell is doing well. And he's probably glad. Cue laugh track.
Stephenie Meyer, the author of the wildly popular "Twilight" series, is doing just as well.
Meyer has five items in the Amazon top 20, including "The Twilight Saga Collection" compilation of the four "Twilight" books. That's been on the bestseller list for 413 days and is currently no. 4 on the Amazon list, trailing only "Under the Dome," "The Lost Symbol" and "Going Rogue."
The first "Twilight" book has been in the top 100 for 795 days. "Eclipse," "Breaking Dawn" and "New Moon" have all been in the top 100 for at least 143 days, and in most cases far more than that.
Finally, Meyer's "The Host" novel is no. 85 on the Amazon list.
Two final longstanding Amazon bestsellers: Greg Mortenson's "Three Cups of Tea" has been in the top 100 for 985 days, and William P. Young's "The Shack" has been there 695 days.
