Osama bin Laden book makes cover of Wall Street Journal

A cadet at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y. is pictured on the front page of today's Wall Street Journal deeply absorbed in a book as he awaits the start of President Barack Obama's speech last night.

Obama called for the deployment of 30,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan in the primetime address.

"Kill Bin Laden" is the book in the cadet's hands. Talk about some free advertising for the publisher. The Wall Street Journal is the country's top-circulating paper.

"Kill Bin Laden" is an eyewitness account of the Battle of Tora Bora told by "Dalton Fury," a pseudonym for a former Army major who led the Delta Force covert mission and whose goal was to kill Osama bin Laden just weeks after the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Dalton has also shared his story on CBS's "60 Minutes." He has said he published his account of exactly what happened at Tora Bora because he saw so many inaccurate reports and so much conjecture in the media.

The irony is that had Fury's mission succeeded -- Fury told "60 Minutes" that Delta Force's original plan to attack bin Laden from Pakistan was rejected by someone higher up the chain of command -- this cadet very likely would not have been sitting in this auditorium waiting for a president to announce the deployment of more troops to fight this war.

Amazon says "Kill Bin Laden" is ranked 12,055 on the books list. It remains to be seen whether the exposure in The Wall Street Journal this morning will sell a few copies. Click below to read more about the book.

You mean it wasn't the book "Read Bin Laden his rights, give him his phone call, give him three square meals a day and handle him with kid gloves" book?

THAT is the book that Obama has been reading. Obama may not be pleased with the book that this cadet is reading. Not pleased at all!

This should be no surprise to Chris Matthews, who proclaimed Obama was delivering his Afghanistan speech in the enemy camp.

I think Going Rogue would have been more appropriate.
