A coffee-table-type book of photos put out by National Geographic is rocketing up bestseller lists today.
The "National Geographic Image Collection" is a 512-page, six-pound book that features hundreds of National Geographic photos depicting the Earth's natural beauty.
The photos in "National Geographic Image Collection" include shots from the late 19th century all the way through the present.
"National Geographic Image Collection" is the work of Leah Bendavid-Val, Michelle Anne Delaney and Maura Mulvihill.
The book has been out since Oct. 6 but just broke into the Amazon top 100 bestsellers today. In fact at this writing it's moved all the way up to no. 8 on Amazon, and no. 4 on Barnes and Noble.
The book, which is listed on Amazon at $29.25, would appear to be good gift material, and that might explain some of the recent surge.
