Cormac McCarthy's 2006 novel "The Road" is back on bestseller lists following the release of the movie version of the Pulitzer Prize-winning book.
McCarthy's "The Road" is now 77th on the Amazon.com bestseller list. It's been in the top 100 for the past seven days, which roughly coincides with the release of the movie Nov. 25.
"The Road" won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2007. It's a post-apocalyptic tale of a father and son taking to the road in search of a better life following a major catastrophe.
The film version of "The Road" stars Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron.

why is this movie that is such a great novel so limited, I cant find a theater in 100 miles playing it.
I wonder if that vampire movie out would be doing so good, if it had any real competition.
and how could a movie like the road have a chance at a record if it is limited in only a few theaters? thats like an undefeated fighter that never had to fight a real contender, the title means nothing.
Are you kidding me? This movie isn't playing in Atlanta?? WIth all the trash that makes it to the big screen, how can a movie of such a great book not be showing in a major metropolitan area? This is unbelievable...
