Nevada fans mixed with BSU fans
As promised, it was cold and wet. The clouds were brushing the top of the stadium, and it rained throughout most of the game. The Wolf Pack brought a large number of fans, who also endured the weather to cheer against the Broncos. The game was every bit as exciting as the Oregon game, and it was just as important.
The Wolf Pack came prepared as promised and played excellent football. Their running game pushed the Broncos defense who had some trouble dealing with it. Kyle Wilson himself advanced the ball in penalties for the Wolf Pack for an entire drive and a touchdown. The Wolf Pack nearly beat the Broncos in total yards (427/383) and was actually ahead much of the game.

The Wolf Pack conspiring against BSU
We fans thought the refs were one-sided, but after watching the ESPN coverage, I can see we may have overreacted. Even Kirby Moore’s fumble that was originally ruled an incomplete pass, might be a legitimate call. In the excitement, though, it seemed like everyone was picking on the Broncos.
Through all the adversity and the cold and wet, the Broncos outplayed the very determined Wolf Pack. Titus Young started things off by returning the opening kickoff for a 95-yard touchdown. He played with that level of intensity the entire game. Kellen Moore overthrew a few passes, but he made enough connections to get the job done. Doug Martin won MVP with his 128 yards rushing and 16 carries.

Winston Venable trying to cope with the Wolf Pack
Both teams played their hearts out to the very end. The Wolf Pack even tried the old cliché play called the onside kick at the last minute. It was unsuccessful of course and the Broncos ended the game taking a knee twice. This was an anticlimactic end to one of the best games of the season.
Now the Broncos have the WAC title, and a very good shot at a BCS bowl game. They remain number six in the BCS rankings two places behind TCU. Look for a huge blowout against New Mexico next week.

Nice article. Man, I really couldn't relax until the last 3 minutes of that game as Nevada kept it close. I had heard that they were going to do something during half time to send a message to the BCS, but didn't see or hear anything about it. Did you see the half time show and know what I may be talking about? Also, ESPN was pretty nice to the Broncos. On Saturday, ESPN was talking about the BSU win and showed every BSU touchdown as the highlights and nothing for Nevada. Watching that clip you would've thought that BSU beat Nevada 44 to 3.
I did see the half time show, but from the east side, nothing was obvious. It was just the same old BSU marching band playing the same old songs except they started it with this weather-defiance beach thing in their rain gear. I honestly didn't pay much attention because it was so brutally cold. Shortly after that though, the fans started chanting BCS.
If anyone did see some sort of message in the half time show, please add a comment.
