A clip of Bob Dylan and the Rolling Thunder Revue performing "Shelter From The Storm" debuted on the ABC-TV program "Fast Forward" last night. The entire program is available for viewing on the official website.
During the episode, entitled "Believe", one of the characters is seen watching the performance on a computer screen. It appears about 22 minutes into the program.
The clip is from Dylan's 1976 NBC-TV special, "Hard Rain". The program has never been made commercially available. The performance is from May 23, 1976, at Hughes Stadium, Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado. The song is available on the 1976 live album, "Hard Rain". You can watch the entire song here:
The Joan Baez documentary, "How Sweet The Sound", also featured a clip from "Hard Rain", with Dylan and Baez duetting on "I Pity The Poor Immigrant" . The complete song appears on the soundtrack CD.

I want the video of the whole concert!!! Saw it originally on BBC TV, why don't they officially release it?
Hi Brian -
It seems Bob Dylan owns the rights to "Hard Rain", "Eat The Document", "Renaldo & Clara", and other coveted unreleased gems. He seems to be loosening up the archives lately. Hopefully they will see the light of day in the not too distant future (but don't hold your breath). . .In the meantime, there's always Youtube (at least for now).
Thanks for your support.
Harold Lepidus, Bob Dylan Examiner
Hello Harold. I've seen the Flashforward episode just yesterday and I loved the song right away but I didn't know who it was. I than found it searching here in internet through the excerpts of the lyrics I remembered, but the CD version doen't has the power of the one I've listened in the TV, now I see why. 1976....!
Thank you from Lisbon-Portugal.
