Dylan's White House gig moved to Tuesday due to weather, performed 'Times They Are A-Changin' '

(Columbia Records)

The much-anticipated In Performance at the White House: A Celebration of Music from the Civil Rights Movement, scheduled for Wednesday afternoon at 5:15 p.m., was moved to earlier this evening, due to yet another expected snowstorm in the Washington, D.C., area. The concert was scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET.

There were "live" postings about In Performance on Rec.Music.Dylan.  The people posting on RMD reported that Dylan played "The Times They Are A-Changin' " There also seemed to be some confusion about the possibility of Dylan singing a second song. Dylan was seen again on stage at the end of the concert.

You can read the Expecting Rain Discusssion page here. Comments include:  "Dylan on acoustic . . with Tony (Garnier)."  "One of his best live performances in years, and certainly his best for television in a decade."  Photos can be seen here.

There are postings on Facebook, but there is currently not much additional information about Dylan's performance.

The concert is expected to premiere on PBS Thursday evening at 8 p.m. ET.

The Baltimore Sun reports that "NPR will produce a one-hour concert special from the event for broadcast nationwide on NPR Member stations throughout the month of February, beginning February 12th."

I watched this in the live feed from the White House. Bob was great, as usual! I DID NOT see him on the stage when all the performers returned to the stage at the end, and I WAS looking for him.
