Peter, Paul & Mary, "When The Ship Comes In," from 'Tonight In Person'
Noel Paul Stookey was born on this day in 1937. He was the "Paul" in Peter, Paul & Mary. The folk trio were instrumental in exposing a young Bob Dylan's songs to the world. Both acts were managed by Albert Grossman.

Bob Dylan wrote the liner notes for the album, In The Wind. Peter, Paul & Mary covered many of Dylan's songs, including "Blowin' In The Wind," "When The Ship Comes In," "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right," and "Too Much Of Nothing." Dylan and the folk trio appeared at some iconic events, including the Newport Folk Festival, and the 1963 "March On Washington." Stevie Wonder appeared with Dylan and the trio at a Martin Luther King, Jr., tribute, in 1986.
