Leukemia & Lymphoma Awareness Month T-Shirt & Travel Mug Giveaway for survivors & their oncologists

In anticipation of Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Month coming up in September, the Blood Cancers Examiner and Hope and Dreams Cancer Awareness Shop are partnering to offer leukemia and lymphoma survivors* an opportunity to win special prizes for themselves and their oncologists in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Awareness Month T-Shirt & Travel Mug Giveaway.

Starting today, these survivors are invited to tell readers what makes their oncologist the "World's Greatest Oncologist" by simply leaving a comment below this article. Each survivor is also asked to leave his or her name, diagnosis, and email address. As an alternative, the survivor may choose to email the Blood Cancers Examiner directly with the information.

Two survivor winners will be selected (one diagnosed with leukemia and one with lymphoma) by the Blood Cancers Examiner and a judge from Hope and Dreams Cancer Awareness Shop. These survivors will receive a commemorative t-shirt of their choice from those pictured in this article (sizes adult small-4x available). In addition, each survivor's oncologist will receive a "World's Greatest Oncologist" ceramic travel mug (The survivor may choose from the two mugs pictured in this article.) Winning survivors and oncologists will have the opportunity to be featured in an interview on the Blood Cancers Examiner page. (Though this is in no way obligatory!) The contest will end on September 5, 2009, and winners will be announced by September 7, 2009, so that they may receive their prizes in time to enjoy them for the remainder of September.

*Please note that the organizers of this contest use the National Coalition of Cancer Survivorship's definition of the term "survivor", which states that a person becomes a "survivor" once he or she is diagnosed with cancer and that the person remains a survivor for the balance of life.
