 Getty Images Girl power rocked the House today in support for H. Res. 1022, which calls for a reduction in and awareness of obstetric fistula both at home and abroad. Although this bill has yet to be passed, what better way to drum up political will than to invite former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and supermodel Christy Turlington-Burns? Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., had to confess that the presence of both Halliwell and Turlington-Burns could only mean one thing: “Glamour is coming to an unglamorous issue.” |
