What's it Worth? Appraisal for all 4 Beatles autographs on lp cover

July 7, 4:22 PM

Meet the Beatles LP cover autographed by John Paul George and Ringo
4 of the most collectible autographs in
modern history. As a set the are
   extremely rare.

Charlie asks:
Please advise your appraisal for the above items. If you need more information, let me know. This item is currently in a safe deposit box, but is accessible if necessary.

AW says: Well that's certainly quite an item if it's legitimate.  I will give you my appraisal based on the assumption that the autographs are legitimate, however, I am not a handwriting expert and cannot verify whether or not they are. That said from the research I've done, the autographs appear to be consistent with the signatures of John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

Having all 4 autographs on one cover in their early years is about as good as it gets for Beatles autographs, so there is a big premium for that.

Date range: 1964-66

Retail value: $4500-$6500

(top price)
Wholesale value:
$3000
(The midrange price you could expect to achieve at a well advertised live auction. The price that is most often realized)
Quick sale value: $1500
The price your likely to get if you have to sell your item immediately and your prospective customer is aware of this.
Common trade terminology: Fab Four, the Beatles, Silver Beatles, Johnny and the Moondogs, John, Paul George and Ringo, Meet the Beatles, Mop Tops, the Lads from Liverpool.
Care and storage tips: I would put this is acid free protection and keep it in a dry place out of direct sunlight. It would pay to have this authenticated by a hand writing expert.
