Auctionwally's eBay tips to eploit your eBay presence for other uses

August 19, 10:11 AM

eBay has built a such a powerful tool that it has become very  useful above and beyond it's own core functions. Here are 2 ways I like to use my eBay presence to give extra juice to my main website and marketing endeavors.

Get that satisfied eBay customer on your house list! When you consumate a successful transaction on eBay get permission from the buyer to add their email to your house list. This is perfectly legitimate and does not run astray of eBay rules provided that you do so only after the eBay transaction is completed. Again, make sure to get the customer's permission before you add them to your list, otherwise you'll be spamming them.

You do have a house list don't you? If not, you should get one, it's the most important thing any business can have to generate return business.

Need a testimonial?  It's often been said there is no more powerful sales  tool than a testimonial. The problem with online testimonials is that people are often suspicious of them because they can be faked easily.  The next time your looking to get some credibility to your web presence, place a link to your eBay feedback. I use this tactic all the time, it's something that people can verify easily, and they know it's legitimate.
