City dweller Gina Andracchio has a modern, and sometimes urban, twist on traditional outdoor rec--proving that adventure begins just outside your door.
I’m sending a shout out to all of you who came by the Towsontown Spring Festival this past weekend. It was packed! I myself was there yesterday Sunday May 4, 2008 with a group of friends and thoroughly enjoyed “pigging out” on a huge pit beef sandwich and swirled ice cream cone to finish off!
Having spent the last hour or so of the festival in the 98 Rock Beer Garden, it’s quite evident that Baltimore has a die-hard rock fan base.
The two bands I saw were definitely entertaining! The Amish Outlaws proved that good-old fashioned audience participation never gets old. These guys are truly unpredictable hailing from Lancaster, Pennsylvania where 4 out of the original 6 band members were raised under the strict traditions of the Amish. The guys left their Amish ways and found freedom in playing anything from rap mogul Dr. Dre to well-known television theme songs. Check out their website and see where they will play next.
The last featured band in the 98 Rock Beer Garden was Never Never. A band that has been together since the late 80’s, this band is truly a class act covering artists such as Led Zepplin, Rolling Stones, the Beetles, and Eric Clapton. Click here to visit their website.
