On a sunny 70-degree day we find ourselves backing up at tee boxes while others play through their huck. Most of the time this is all good and fine. Sometimes there is a bigger group that just backs you up without even realizing what’s going on. Sometimes it is nice and proper to have your group, of 6, step aside and let the few golfers behind play through. Sometimes it’s nice to get a great score. But really; it all really is fine. It is all about being out there to have a good time with a sport you love.
People don't know what etiquette set to apply to a course- most of the time. I ask that you stop for a second and drop a line. What is it, that "ercks" you on a course. I've noticed one, well let's coin a term; Eticiple, to describe them.
After smoking a cigarette at Druid Hill I flicked the cigarette butt. No, rhyme-or-rhythm; just didn't think. A friend let me in on something he had picked up over time. Dropping your cigarette on the ground is just not done there, or at least preferred not to have done. I guess it really is common courteous to not do that anywhere. I just didn't really think about it- Eticiple one.
Lets get a list of Eticiples going. Just drop-a-line of something that is done on the course that could erck someone.
