Cheese Dreams II

July 15, 10:39 AM
by Juliette Goodwin, Baltimore Food Examiner

I went to my book club gathering last night. We meet once a month to drink wine, eat cheese and occasionally discuss a book. Oh the cheese. And yes, the wine too. I'd been taking a break from the vino of late due to my brain's inability to avoid migranes from the stuff. Somehow, this time it did not make me sick in the head. Cheese, tho, did give me some vivid dreams.

Last night's cheese dream was strange. I was in New York, hanging out with my old pal Fred Armisen (he really is an old pal), who happens to be on Saturday Night Live in real life. We were sitting in some kind of audience situation and there was a big, ugly Santa doll, maybe three feet tall, made out of low grade, pilly, red and green felt, sitting on Fred's lap. We were waiting for a skit or performance to be screened in the small theater we were in, and apparently I had written the screenplay. And it went so well and everyone (I'm not sure who "everyone" was) thought it was so great, SNL offered me a job to write for the show. Ah, dreams. At least this one didn't involve my own death like the last cheese dream I had.

Does anyone else out there have powerful cheesy dreams?
