The very popular Judge John S. Arnick is smiling down on all his friends right now.

While the students of Calvert Hall College High School, in Towson were in prom mode, friends of the late Judge John Arnick were continuing his dream of giving back to his Alma Mater. The John S. Arnick Memorial Scholarship Funds at Calvert Hall got tremendous support at a recent fundraiser.

It was a political  and powerful "who's who" spotting  Arnick's widow -Joanne,  Ray C. Daue, Jr., the Honorables--  Judge Joseph  Murphy, Frank Kelly Jr., James Lighthizer, Helen Delich Bentley, Judge Thomas Bollinger and my personal favorite Judge A. Gordon Boone, Jr.

Even two former governors showed up-- Bob Ehrlich and Marvin Mandel chatted with  their fans including Senator Tom Bromwell.  A House full of Delegates, past & present,  attended including  Tori Brown, Daniel Minnick, Ken Masters, Ken Schissler, Nate Oakes and Adrienne A. Jones, to name a very few.  Also spotted raising "HALL" was Tricia Slawinski, Geoffrey Carpenter and Brain Keelty. A wonderful time, for a wonderful man has created a  scholarship fund with $90,000 to date.   Congrats to all involved!

Socially Speaking

Well , while Under Amour's mega man, Kevin Plank was throwing his swanky Pre-Preakness party (of which I am guessing my invite was lost in the mail)  I was attending my daughter's graduation from Villanova University.

Typical "Smalltimore" the special snooze speaker was none other than Baltimore resident, Kenneth  Hackett-who is Prez of the Catholic Relief Services.  No doubt he didn't get Plank's invite either!
