Art with a Heart, a Baltimore based nonprofit, will host
its fourth annual gala, Art in the City, on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from
7:30 – 10:30 pm.

This year’s event   “Com-Mix and Marvel” – will take place at none other that the fabulous
Geppi’s Entertainment Museum, in Camden Station at Camden Yards (301 W.
Camden St.). The event will benefit the  Art with a Heart’s Baltimore programs that include
weekly classes, summer job program and community initiatives that enhance the lives of people in need, through visual art.

It will be  a MARVELous evening of HEROIC hors d'oeuvres, “SUPERTINI” cocktails, other beverages, DARING DJ Bobby Nyk and LAUDABLE live auction packages. There will also be AUDACIOUS artwork and
COURAGEOUS creations by Art with a Heart students and volunteers. This year
’s Art in the City event ties in well with the venue, as the Geppi Entertainment Museum is dedicated to pop culture and to heroes past and present.

Some of the live auction items include a cruise vacation, a weeklong
Colorado Springs vacation, gift certificates to Morton’s The Steakhouse, a
cartooning lesson and much, much more.

“Art in the City is designed to be a unique, fun and exciting way for
Baltimoreans to support arts in our community,” said Janine Frier, event
chairwoman. “I am proud of the work of Art with a Heart and all that it
does to directly impact Baltimore’s children, adolescents and seniors. This
event is important to the organization’s continued success and being able to
provide these programs.”

The success of this Art in the City event will result in  more than just a night
of fun; it is an opportunity to raise much needed funds for Art with a Heart.

Tickets for Art in the City “Com-Mix and Marvel” are $75 per person in
advance and $85 per person at the door. Casual cocktail attire is
suggested. For additional information, and to purchase tickets, call
