Art With A Heart Annual Fundraiser

They came, they mixed and marveled at the Geppi's Entertainment Museum, in Baltimore recently. Over $22,000 was raised for the Art with a Heart educational programs .

SAMPLE LOCAL BEER AND WINE AT MARYLAND ZOO IN BALTIMORE’S “BREW AT THE ZOO AND WINE TOO!” EVENT

What:The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore will once again host the annual “Brew at the Zoo and Wine Too!” festival.

When:  Saturday, May 24 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Where: At the Zoo’s Waterfowl Lake Pavilion.

Tickets:Brew at the Zoo and Wine Too!” tickets are on sale at www.marylandzoo.org. Tickets are $45 for non-members, $35 for members and $15 for children and designated drivers. Admission this year includes unlimited samples, a souvenir pilsner glass and free same-day only admission to the Zoo. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore and our conservation efforts. For more information, and to purchase tickets, visit www.marylandzoo.org. If you purchase in advance tickets are good for entry beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Info:Guests can sample beverages from a wide variety of breweries and wineries. This year the format has been changed to include unlimited sampling, so guests can avoid purchasing extra drink tickets for the samples. There will be the opportunity for Brew-goers to purchase full glasses of beer or wine and other beverages.

Entertainment: The band line-up for Saturday features One Louder, The Almighty Senators and the Kelly Bell Band to close out the festival. Vendors and artisans will be on hand to sell food, jewelry and clothing, and there will be carnival games, a dunk tank benefiting Hook & Ladder Brewing Co. Fire Departments, sand art and face painting for the kids. Brave souls can try their luck in the Cabot Cheese Eating Contest, participate in our daring Bike Trials Stunt demo by World Rider, Michael Schiavone or visit with one of the Zoo’s animal ambassadors and meet Sarah Fleischer, from Brew at the Zoo sponsor 98 Rock. Also sponsoring this years’ event are Verizon Wireless, Edible Arrangements, Don Pablos’ and Dos Equis.

 The schedule of entertainment for the afternoon is:
1:00pm - 2:00pm One Louder
2:20pm - 3:45pm All Mighty Senators
3:45pm - 4:15pm Bike Trials Stunt Show featuring Michael Schiavone
4:15pm - 4:20pm Cabot Cheese Eating Contest
4:30pm – 6:00pm Kelly Bell Band

So get out there and have some fun. You can even try feeding the giraffes !
