The Maryland Mentoring Partnership Celebrates the Transformative Power of Mentoring at MentorZing ‘08


WHAT: MentorZing, The Maryland Mentoring Partnership’s 5th annual fundraising event to recognize outstanding youth and mentoring program excellence.
Theme: The Future’s in Bloom!

WHO: Stuart Simms, Anna L. Smith, Ronald R. Peterson, James Piper, III,
and 22 leaders on the board of directors.

Program highlights:
• Douglas F. Gansler, Maryland Attorney General, Honorary Chair
• Dr. Nancy S. Grasmick, Ed.D., Maryland State Superintendent of Schools, Honorary Chair
• Bob Heck, Master of Ceremony and host of the Bob the Vid-tech show on Maryland Public Television
• Joe Ehrmann, President of Building Men & Woman for Others, guest speaker
• 50 talented Maryland students performing, including The Sudbrook Swingers from Sudbrook Magnet Middle School, classical guitarist Brittany Wharry, senior at the School for the Arts, The After School AKAdemy, a mentoring program, and the highly acclaimed Baltimore City College High School Choir
• 400 guests representing corporations, government, community and education
