Road Trip to Delaware To Watch A 30 Year Tradition

WINTERTHUR POINT-TO-POINT CELEBRATES A 30-YEAR TRADITION OF SPORT, FAMILY AND COMMUNITY

WHAT: Thirty years ago, Point-To-Point began as a small horse race with 2,000 spectators. This year, with an expected 20,000 participants, the event has become a Delaware tradition attracting sportsmen, families, antique car aficionados and just about anyone looking to enjoy a warm spring day in the beautiful rolling acres of Winterthur.
~~Steeplechase Races: sanctioned by the National Steeplechase Association, there are five races in all, featuring three steeplechase events and two flat races. Wooo Nellie!
~~Tailgate Picnic Competition: Anyone can participate in this elegant and lavish competition. Secret voters will be wandering around the site, determining who has the best tailgate. Previous winners offered ice sculptures and caviar. YUM!
~~Budweiser Clydesdales: Returning for the first time in 10 years, the world-famous Anheuser-Busch majestic, eight-horse team will be pulling an antique Budweiser Studebaker wagon (weather permitting)
~~Historic Car Display: Showcasing 50 vintage Rolls-Royces, Bentleys and a dozen Auburn Heights Stanley steam automobiles.
~~Kids Corral: Featuring the Winterthur Pony Show, Stick Horse Races, free books, activities, and pony rides .
