Maryland Food Bank's 2008 Blue Jean Ball With A British Invasion-Reminder!

It’s  going to be a British Invasion at this years  Maryland Food Bank’s 2008 Blue Jean Ball


WHAT: Join Jim and Jan Perdue of Perdue Incorporated, Senator and Mrs. Ben Cardin, Councilwoman Helen Holton and Delegate Steven J. DeBoy, Sr. as they kick back in their blue jeans and help feed the hungry! You’ll be transported back to Beatle mania and guests dance to the sounds of American English and feast on the cuisine of Steve de Castro! This is the only party that you will be able to eat, drink and dance in a distribution center normally filled with over one million pounds of food.


WHEN: Friday, May 2, 2008
7 p.m. -cocktail hour and silent auction
8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. –dinner and dancing

The Maryland Food Bank supplies food to hungry Marylanders by gathering excess and donated grocery products, and then distributing them to charitable food providers. The Maryland Food Bank has facilities in Baltimore and Salisbury comprising nearly 107,000 square feet of warehouse, refrigerator and freezer space. The Maryland Food Bank, now in its 29th year of operation, distributes over 13 million pounds of food annually through its statewide network of affiliated distribution centers to 1,000 food providers. The Maryland Food Bank is a member of America’s Second Harvest—the Nation’s Food Bank Network, and an honored recipient of the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organization’s Award for Standards for Excellence in ethics and accountability in business.

Celebrate a British Invasion at  the  2008 Blue Jean Ball with a round trip flight for two to London, England!

Can't go to the Ball-you can still buy a ticket to win a round-trip business class airfare for two to London on British Airways. It’s only $20 per chance and all proceeds benefit the Maryland Food Bank. That $20 translated into meals is 48 meals for that raffle ticket.

The drawing will be held at the  2008 Blue Jean Ball on May 2, 2008.
