ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION GREATER MARYLAND CHAPTER
TO HOST DEMENTIA AT MIDLIFE CONFERENCE
The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Maryland Chapter, in partnership with Johns Hopkins Frontotemporal Dementia and Young-Onset Dementias Clinic, today announced that it will present a conference for individuals battling young-onset Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias.
When: Saturday, May 17 from 8:30 am until 2:30 pm.
Where: Crowne Plaza Baltimore in Timonium.
What: It will be a forum that educates individuals with young-onset, family members and caregivers about what resources are available to them.

According to the Alzheimer’s Association they estimate that there are between 220,000 and 640,000 people living in the United States with early-onset Alzheimer’s, meaning that they are 65 years of age or younger.
Cass Naugle, Executive Director of the Alzheimer’s Association, Greater Maryland Chapter said, “There is a misconception that Alzheimer’s affects only the elderly, but there are an estimated 250,000 people under age 65 dealing with the debilitating disease. We hope that through this conference, families can draw mutual support from one another and learn about the valuable resources available to them.”
