Upon his return, Pat pulled out a small box that made all the children exclaim, "Wow” and “Cooooooooool!” I wanted to see what was so cool about a floating ring. You have seen them before (essentially, a donut hole filled with air).
Well, Pat did not buy a float, he bought instead a Sea Horse Ride-On. The Sea Horse measures 86 in. long X 50 in. wide. I did a double take. I couldn’t believe that Dad choose the Sea Horse over the float ring. The Sea Horse accommodates two riders and comes complete with sturdy handles. Thank God.
We belong to a private pool that multiple people use. While I have seen loads of kick boards, floats and toys, I have never seen anyone in five years bring a prop this big. LOL!
Dads are like Rock Stars. You never know what is going to happen next. As mothers, if we want dads to be our kids' Rock Stars we have to leave them be. Off they went into the sunset, all four with the Sea Horse. I look forward to hearing the story of their return.
Tips for moms:
1. Let Dads help you their own way.
2. Allow your children to learn from the both parents.
3. Be flexible. There is more than one recipe for fun.
4. Put the Sea Horse in the Garage.
Live fully,
Mia
