Cormier On His Way

Lance Cormier was selected from AAA Norfolk to take injured Randor Bierd's place in the bullpen.  They're calling Bierd's ailment a shoulder "impingement"  Cormier, 27, is 1-1 with a 0.96 ERA with 12 strikeouts in 9 minor league appearances this season.

Bierd was formally place on the 15-day DL retroactive to 4/30, but all indication is that he won't be back for a month and a half.

Bynum Rehabbing

Freddie Bynum is active for his first rehab appearance tonight with AA Bowie since undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery in March.
