Now that JO has confirmed his retirement, what do you say?  You could say that he's a certain Hall-of-Famer and that he's been a cornerstone of the Ravens since they made him the first draft pick in franchise history.  But that doesn't seem enough.

You can say he's been a model of character and professionalism in a league polluted with showboats and thugs.  But that's inadequate.

You can say his level of sheer dominance will never be matched. But that's too obvious to be useful.

All you can say is "Thank You, JO, for all the wonderful and awe-inspiring moments of the past 12 seasons."

JO retired on his own terms, which isn't the case for too many in the NFL.  Hampered by a toe injury that affected his ability to push off and get leverage, Ogden walks away not owing anybody a thing.

He will be the first Raven enshrined in Canton.  And rightly so.

So let the accolades and encomiums come, JO, because you deserve them all.

See you in Canton in 2013.

Readers, I'm curious.  What is your favorite Ogden moment?  Write in and let me know.
