Ten thoughts on the Ravens after they crush Bengals

December 1, 2:10 PM

Some thoughts on the Ravens after their dismantling of the Bengals:

1. Two plays stand out to me: Mark Clayton's sensational one-handed catch and Mark Clayton's TD pass to Derrick Mason.

2. Most people were right to predict a lopsided win.  Cincy is awful and free falling fast; they'll be near the top of the draft board for next season.

3.  So nice to see Todd Heap get into the end zone.

4. The Ravens have put together two high scoring games in a row because the offense and defense are complementing each other perfectly.

5. Joe Flacco is the real deal.

6. John Harbaugh is a potentially great coach with two superior coordinators in Cam Cameron and Rex Ryan.

7. Ray Lewis has at least 3 more good years in him.

8. The Steelers are the current toast of the AFC North, but we're hot on their heels.

9. The Battle of the Beltway will be a primetime heavyweight fight.  I love Baltimore's chances at home.

10. Ravens have a great shot at the postseason in a crowded AFC playoff race.

Ravens utterly dominate Eagles

November 24, 10:15 AM
I don't think many people saw this coming.  The benching of Donovan McNabb?  Ed Reed's turning back the clock, especially on his NFL record 108-yard interception return? The utter humiliation of the Eagles?  There were signs to be sure: Philly's... Read More

Ravens get confidence shaken, face long road to playoffs

November 17, 9:22 PM
It's not that Baltimore lost to the Giants. There's no shame in losing to the defending World Champs.  The problem was the way in which the Ravens lost.  They simply got their helmets handed to them.  The Giants ran all over the defense--piling... Read More
