Dyrdek with "Fantasy Factory" crew
Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus both made cameo appearances on Rob Dyrdek's "Fantasy Factory" on MTV Thursday night.
The episode chronicled Dyrdek's efforts to re-establish the fame and
grandeur of his R&B singing alter-ego, Bobby Light. He recruited longtime Rogue Status partner Travis Barker to assist in re-launching the character's career before the opening show of Blink-182's reunion tour in Las Vegas a few months ago.
Barker provided a basic backbeat for the single "Dirty Girl Part 2", as Dyrdek/Light sang the puzzling R&B/rap track with the support of two hype-men. The facetious crew was awarded with a loud applause and an open invitation from Mark Hoppus to rejoin Blink on-stage anytime (to watch the episode in its entirety, click here.)
Although the episode provided occasional laughs, I found myself opting for FX's "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia", and tuning back into "Fantasy Factory" during "Sunny" commercial breaks in hopes of catching the Blink cameos, which left something to be desired.
