Morehouse falls to NAIA Talladega

Despite three players in double figures, Morehouse could not overcome Talladega, falling to the Tornadoes 78-71 at home Wednesday night.

Freshman Joshua Simmon hit 10 of his 20 field goals and finished with 22 points and eight rebounds.  Michael Webb added 12 points and Malcolm Frank scored 11 points for the Maroon Tigers (0-2).

Roderick Williams grabbed 11 rebounds, but it wasn't enough to get past Talladega's high-scoring trio of Phil Wood, Kerry Wood and Ramondo Banks.  The trio improved the Tornadoes to 5-3 on the season, setting them up for a key game against NAIA no. 7 Georgetown College at the Mid-South Conference Challenge today.

Morehouse if off for the Thanksgiving holiday and won't return to action until Tuesday when they host SIAC rival Stillman at 7:30 p.m. at Forbes Arena.
