Demetria Frank scored 21 points to rally the Bethune-Cookman Lady Wildcats past Nicholls State 83-69 at Moore Gym in Daytona Beach Monday night.
Jalisa Isaac added 14 points and Sarah Bolden had 11 points in the victory for Bethune-Cookman (3-6). Euneshia Proctor chipped in with a double-double of 10 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
Bethune-Cookman actually trailed at halftime, 34-29. But, behind the scoring of Frank, the Lady Wildcats outscored the Colonels (2-7) 54-35 in the second half.
Alisha Allen led Nicholls State with 28 points and nine rebounds. Jamia Akins added 15 points and Jasmine Hoskins tossed in another 12 points.
Hannah Kador was one of five Lady Jags in double figures in a non-conference blowout against the Lady Bulldogs (3-5) at F.G. Clark Center in Baton Rouge.
Kador led all scorers with 15 points, Tiffany Foster added 14 points and Freda Allen had 13 points for Southern (5-2). Tenesha Brown chipped in with 12 points and Jamie Floyd finished the double-digit scoring efforts with 11 points.
Demara Bolton paced Tougaloo with 14 points. Erica Grayson added eight points and a game-high 14 rebounds. Victoria Jones had nine points and seven rebounds.
