A bicycle made for robot

I bought a used tandem bicycle this weekend while I was in Massachusetts for my brother's wedding.  Fortunately, unlike the fellow in this video, I have a flesh and blood human to ride the thing with me.

Joules, the bicycling android, is made from a hard aluminium alloy, according to the Daily Mail, and he came to be thanks to a challenge from the inventor's son, a former pro-bicycle racer. It's odd, I know, but there's something absolutely charming about the video below. I think it's the music.
