Igor Panarin
Russian Professor and former KGB analyst, Igor Panarin is making waves again with the release of his new book "The Crash of America" which claims that the United States could collapse within the next two months.
Panarin first predicted a collapse of the United States back in September of 1998 by saying he believed that an economic and moral collapse would ignite a civil war which would bring an end to the country. In the late 1990's his prediction was not taken seriously in light of America's strong and growing economy, a stock market that was steadily increasing and a rising real estate market. However with the United States' economic troubles and financial calamities of the past year, people have begun to take a second look at Panarin's prediction. Now more than ever it looks as though Panarin's prediction may be validated.
Panarin has gone on the record saying that "[t]he probability that the United States will cease to exist in July 2010 is greater than 50%." He believes that the eventual collapse of the United States will divide it into six regions as shown by the map below.
Christians often wonder how America fits into Bible Prophecy and the "End Times". It is interesting to note that nowhere does the Bible specifically mention the United States. Of course there has been much conjecture as to why the greatest nation in the world would not be mentioned in the End Times prophecies of the Bible. The most obvious answer to this question may lie in the fact that America won't be around, or at least won't have the superpower status that it once had, and therefore, will not play a major role in end time events.
The decline of America has already started. It won't be too long before America which was once the greatest nation in the world, will disappear allowing for other countries, such as Europe, the Middle East, China, and Russia, (all of which are referred to in Biblical prophecies) to rise to prominence onto the world scene. Sadly, it is only a matter of time before this once great country of the United States will cease to exist. Will a collapse occur in two months or by mid-next year, as Panarin believes or will God continue to bless America for a little while longer? Whatever the answer, one thing is for sure, nations will rise and fall but the people of God will continue on and His purposes and plans for this world will never be thwarted. Are you ready?

I wonder if the show "Jericho" built its concept on this guy's prediction. It is eerily similar.

If I were him, I'd be too concerned about Chechnya to worry about the U.S. Economoy. If our economy collapses, the rest of the world is certainly hurt because you all trade in our currency. How can your money be worth anything if our's isn't? FOR THE RECORD, IT TAKES 33 RUSSIAN RUBLES TO AMOUNT TO A SINGLE U.S. DOLLAR. This guy is full of hatred and wishful thinking. A little perspective, although I disagree with Panarins assessment I do believe that America at the very least is heading for a diminished standing as an economic power. The reasons for this have been the same for decades: unchecked & increasingly predatory political policies toward domestic manufacturing, China is selling their US bond holdings as fast as they can…In June they sold 25 Billion. In the last 6 years China has increased its gold reserves to more than double. What has Americas answer been? Well we just print more money, devaluing our currency even more. We are heading toward hyperinflation if this continues…and with all the new president spending money like a kid in the candy store it won’t take long.
Okay, everybody just keep throwing your prophesies at the wall, and eventually one of them will be right.

I am anxiously waiting the time when this evil barbaric country will go to hell. This society of degenerates will only stand as long as Chinese continue giving money to these arrogant Yankees.
I am a Christian by the way, not a Muslim, and I always pray for this country just because I have to live here, but what can I do if these people are set to do evil continually? Let people remain in hope of their repentance, but this hypocritic state perish.
