Are We Living in the End Times?

Are we living in the End Times? Author, teacher and filmmaker, Dr. Alfred Adams sets out to answer this question with the release of his first of a five part documentary series entitled "God's Promise...Satan's Deception". The first documentary film in the series is aptly titled "Are We Living in the End Times?" and is shot on location in what's been nicknamed America's Most Interesting City - the City of New Orleans - or more commonly known as Mardi Gras City. Mardi Gras attracts visitors and tourists from all over the world who come to partake in the week-long lascivious festivities every February. Many of the attendees are unbelievers and have no knowledge or background in Bible Prophecy, which makes for some interesting answers and comments to the questions posed by Dr. Adams' man-on-the-street style interviews. Questions dealing with such topics as the Book of Revelation, the Rapture, recent weather phenomena, a possible cashless society, along with several other issues are supported by news footage from such sources as CNN and MSNBC. Commentary is also provided on these topics by a couple of pastors from the local churches in the area. You don't need to be an expert in Biblical Prophecy in order to understand the content and information in this documentary. This DVD will give the viewer a taste of what the Bible prophesies concerning where our world is headed.

Are We Living in the End Times is produced, written, and directed by Dr. Adams, narrated by Charles Butler, with the music score composed by Matt Mills. The release date for part one of the documentary series, God's promise...Satan's Deception is September 29, 2009. If you are interested in learning more about this film, check out this YouTube video. Sadly, Dr. Alfred Adams is just another in a long line of "end-of-the-world" peddlers who make money off a total misunderstanding of Holy Scripture. Evangelicals have proclaimed the "bible's prediction of the end" in nearly every decade since 1800. Someone has to stop these silly Christianity-destroying errors and get back to the biblical truth about eschatology.

No, we are NOT in the last days. Empires rise and fall, and God's judgment is at work in that process. The "imminent" judgment found in the New Testament had to do with Israel and the Destruction of the Temple and Nation **in the apostles' generation**. The last and final judgment could be a hundred thousand years away for all anyone knows. Only God knows. Evangelicals, Quit giving Christ a bad name by making Him out to be a liar with these endless false predictions of the end.

Why are evangelicals allowed to be so reckless on this endtimes stuff all the time?

well I have not seen the movie to say anything one way or the other, but Paul makes a point. How do you know the movie does in fact try to show if we are or we are not? Seems from the write up it is what other people think as to what Dr. Adams does.

Maybe Dr. Adams does show or talk about about things going on in the world today. And no one can say that what is said in the bible is not going on right now.

Might want to see a movie before talking about it.

    my 2 cents......

Yeah I have to agree with Tammy and Paul. For John Adams to make that statement without seeing the movie is out of line, no matter how his books, or website looks. Still should see the movie, then talk about it. I myself, will get a copy I know we are in the end times, and I can't wait for the Rapture!

The Bible does in fact talk about the rapture, the real question should be who is ready?

  • John Adams 2 years ago

The answer is that we are definitely NOT in the end times. Those alive today will see their kids and grandkids and even great grandkids grow up. We need to be at work building a more godly and Christian country for them to live in, and we must continue to overcome all forms of secularism.

Evangelicals need to stop with the failed end predictions and get back to Kingdom living according to our Covenant with God.

Every time these teachers are proven false in telling audiences "what the bible says about the end," the faith of millions is destroyed. May God have mercy on all the endtimes teachers who make their living from selling false predictions of the end. And may God rescue His sheep from false endtimes teachings that leave so many millions wondering why the bible is erroneous on this topic, decade after decade after decade.

John Adams, I hope your right, but if your not, then I hope the world is ready. In any case, to call someone a false teacher, without seeing the film, is not right. He may have some great points that in line with the bible, he might win souls for the Kingdom with his movie.

    What have you done ?

    James,

Yes, the Bible talks about the Rapture and that happens when Jesus returns, not before as many Christians today sadly believe. There will not be a time when millions are suddenly gone like in the "Left Behind" series...that is false theology.

Christians and I am in this boat too, also look for the bad in someone's project that GOD put on their heart. If he is opening eyes to people that otherwise never would have then great. If he is teaching something out of the will of GOD he will have to deal with that. But to just say without seeing is Judging, and I am so happy I never did that in the open like some people have.

I have in the past posted things I wish I could take back, but to late now.

The prohibition to not judge has to do with judging souls, not actions or opinions. There is no reason to view this DVD because it clearly wrong, why waste time on something I know is wrong. First, no-one knows the time; Second, the Rapture will not happen as he says because his view is not remotely Biblical.

It is a total waste of time!

"To talk about a man's work that was put on his heart from GOD..."

No, this is not "God talking" to him. Rather, we are going to see our kids and and our great grandkids grow up, and we need to be busy expanding the Christian faith into all areas of life and country. Our grandkids and great grandkids are counting on us to advance Christ's mission and not "head for the hills" again and again, as the Evangelicals have been wrongly doing since around 1800AD.

I want someone to explain why the sheep permit these end-times teachers to be wrong decade after decade after decade. The damage they do to the truth is astounding. In fact, so many people lose faith when "the bible turns out to be wrong," when in reality its these teachers who are false over and over again.

Bearing false testimony and false teaching are damnable sins, and they destroy the faith of millions. Stop false endtimes speculation and get back to passing on the truth of the Christian faith to our kids and grandk

Being caught up in the air to greet Jesus at his 2nd coming will be a privaledge for all those who worship HIM. We will not be spared having to undergoe persecution and trial just like all our brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus did command us to pick up our cross and follow Him, correct? Why would He 'rapture' us from Earth just as the going gets tough? This is what puzzles me about the multitudes interpreting the Bible their way. Pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib, rapture, no rapture.. etc. etc. etc. Then there's John Adams who states so matter of factly, "NOT in the end times".. Like you know this for sure John?.. I wouldn't be so sure if I was you.. Whether it's the end or not, we're headed for BIG trouble. Here's a fact: You could die in the next 5 minutes. So be ready now. Prepare your heart and soul! And for Sonia, who laughs at the reality of the Bible, I will pray for you. The word of God will change your life. The word was made flesh and dwealt among us. Jesus is the word, he's the way, the truth, and the life! PREPARE

    William and others,

We are NOT in the end times, so get back to the business of plotting to expand the mission of Jesus in our world. Our grandkids and great grandkids are counting on us to deliver by faith a more Christian country than the one we inherited. And with the secularists so dedicated at the present time, we need all hands on deck. No time to "head for the hills" and wait for a coming we have no reason to think is imminent.

The only "imminent" judgment discussed in the New Testament pertained to Israel at the end of the Old Covenant age. It came right on time, and we are not going to know when the last, final judgment is to occur. God governs the rise and fall of nations, and we can expect this until the "final judgment."

So, work together with all Christians of good will to create a country of greater virtue and gospel principles. Together we are strong. But if you are heading for the hills, you will be useless to God's plan in the here and now.

    Godspeed.

I do not interpret the Bible in my own way. The Rapture will happen as the Bible says, not as the modernist like to think. That is my one strong point against this DVD, along with the clear statement by Jesus that no-one knows the time...yet lots of people think they do.

The author is trying to sensationalize and make profit off the end times...that much you must at least admit to, or you are the fool. Topics like the Rapture are discussed and it is from the "Left Behind" perspective, not from the Biblical perspective. Further, his entire approach is one that says the end is quite near, and yet the end might very well be thousands of years away. The man is a leech taking from people for the sake of money.

John Adams, you keep pushing the "NOT in end times", and then want us to get back to Christian truth. The truth is, the Bible says we've been in the end times since the time of Christ. So you're wrong.. And if you think what happened in 70AD was it, it's all over, you'd be wrong again.. I agree 100% that we need to fight secularism. We are, and will continue to do so, but you would be deaf dumb and blind to not be able to read the writing on the wall.. They've been kicking God out of everything for 4 decades.. You also mention God being in control of the rise and fall of nations. That will include ours.. Kicking God out, continuing with abortion, genetic engineering, same sex marriage, will bring this country down.. and possibly soon.. So prepare, Gods not gonna go for it much longer..

William, we have not "been in the end times since the time of Christ." Rather, for them, "the end" was speaking of the end of the Old Covenant era in their generation--they were speaking of THAT end.

But God has issued many such judgments throughout history, and we do NOT know when the final, last one will occur. For all we know, it could be five hundred thousand years from now.

We are here now to expand Christ's mission to all corners of this globe and throughout all aspects of life. I agree the fall of nations, especially ours, is at stake at the present time. But that is not "the end of the world," just the end of the America started in 1776. And I *must* say that our downfall is not inevitable, and is preventable if Christians work together to build and keep building so that our kids and grandkids can receive a more upright nation based on the values of Christ and Christianity. End of the world hysteria leads people to abandon their duties to present/future generations.

There have been many times in history when people thought the end was near. People during WWII certainly had every right to think Christ's return was right around the corner, yet it was not. No-one knows the time...period...no-one but the Father.

As for my interpreting the Bible, no I do not lean on my own interpretations and the meaning of the Rapture is incredibly obvious if one just reads the text.
