With the recent Health Care Bill passing in the House despite overwhelming opposition of the people, many are asking the question: If most of America is against it, why are they passing this anyway?
The answer is that our Democratic leaders need a source of income by which America can continue to fund her addiction to foreign debt. This may be difficult for the people to understand. If so, the following story may make comprehension a bit easier.
Once upon a time there was a country called the United States of America. That country was economically strong. She produced more goods than she needed and avoided borrowing money from foreign entities. She was the largest creditor nation in the world.
One day, she fell in with some very bad people who convinced her she could live better by borrowing money from foreigners.
Even though she had always done well living within her means, she was seduced by the promises of these foreign lenders.
Eventually, America became addicted.
Soon, she became a slave to her habit and in a short space of time, she was nearly destitute. Her pushers forced her to sell off all her hard assets and she was given larger amounts of this addicting debt.
Although her people knew something was wrong, she told them she had a slight touch of the flu and would be well soon. Although not as healthy as she had been, she seemed to handle her habit without divulging her addiction.
As her tolerance for the this foreign debt grew, she needed more and more money to satisfy her cravings. Still, she had enough people working for her that she was able to pay the increasing price for her habit. They loved her and were willing to make sacrifices to see her through.
Like most addicts, she lied to her people who loved and supported her, telling them that everything was fine. In 1965, she debased her coins so that they no longer contained silver. This allowed her to increase her consumption of greater quantities of debt. Her people barely noticed.
As long as her people were able to support her increasing habit through their income taxes, she seemed to be tolerating her addiction fairly well, but as with all addictions, there comes a point where it could no longer be hidden. She began to spend even more capriciously and even began borrowing from her old enemy China. Eventually, China threatened to cut her off from her supply unless she could find a way to get even more money from her people to pay the mounting debt.
Against the will of her loyal people, she concocted a scheme to take their money by deceit and by force. She did it through a mandatory health care plan. The people were against it but by now, she no longer cared whether they were happy with her or not. She needs her fix and has decided that nothing, including the wishes of her loyal people, will stand in her way.
Is it so hard to believe? As with all such relationships, the jilted lover is always the last to know.
Today, America is sick in debt. No one knows for certain how long she will live before finally dying a horrible death. All that can be known for sure is that her addiction cannot be cured and she cannot continue to pay for her habit. Her people are out of money. Their jobs were passed to foreigners to pay for the cost of her habit and there is no one left to save her. And the Democrats are desperate to raise more money to feed that monkey on her back.
The bottom line is that America’s reputation as a borrower is no longer recognized as being good. China has stopped lending to us. America’s credit rating is headed for the toilet. Despite the fact that our Treasury Secretary is lying to prevent anyone from knowing the true condition of America’s finances, the game of musical chairs is just about over.
The final push for a New World Financial Order which so many have derided as paranoid hooey, is about to begin. The Dollar is about to be repudiated and with that repudiation dies the American Dream. Get used to the idea of a new currency, the Amero. Acclimate yourself to the idea of Americans being pressed to relinquish their personal firearms. Expect it to be so that many will refuse to give them up. Get ready for civil unrest. The signs are already about us.
Will China decide to take public lands which have no doubt been pledged as collateral for the loans upon which America must default? Will our cowardly leaders allow this to happen or worse yet, help them seize our lands? Are our leaders prepared to go to war to defend this nation when our troops are already tied down in a couple of foreign wars for profit?
Stay tuned folks. It just gets hairier from here.
Prepare to meet your judgment America.
Jesus Christ is at this moment, headed your way and you are going to meet him. You alone will determine whether you meet him as your Saviour or your Judge. He comes quickly.
Even so, come Lord Jesus.

I'm curious where you get the 85% figure from. For instance the last pre-vote poll from CNN showed 59% opposed and 39% in favor. The 59% of people who oppose the bill is made up of only 43% who believe it's too liberal and 13% who think it's not liberal enough. I know Fox news has poll results out with a similar topline: 55% oppose 35% in favor.
Asked who they trust more to handle changes to the health care system Obama wins over congressional Republicans 51% to 39%.
The figure of 85% disapproval came from a local radio station here in Medford Oregon.
The latest national figure this morning came in at a 60% disapproval rating. www.yomiuri.co.jp/dy/columns/commentary/20100310dy04.htm
I have changed the headline to account for this latest result. As relates to trust of the people Republican vs. Obama, we will see about your numbers in November. I don't trust any of them.
Thanks for questioning the numbers.
BTW, I don't trust CNN nor do I trust FOX.
There is no "judgment" for America. The "history" of this country has been rewritten to exclude God and it has been taught that way in the schools and in the media. It has been taught that this nation was not founded by Godly people. I would venture to say that most every document of the founding fathers contained references to following God, reverencing Him in daily living, and adhering to His principles of living. Thomas Jeffersons statement of division of church and state is treated like it is a superior writing over anything else anyone has ever written. Thomas Jeffersons statement became "god" and his statement has been held up like it is our founding document, to the exclusion of all other documents and people. The media accepted it, the church accepted it.
This nation has "pushed" God and His blessings away from them, with the blessing of the church. This nation is receiving "consequences" of wrongful living and not "judgment".
Prophecy hope, not death.
Ok, 60% seems to be essentially inline with the last pre-vote surveys, but as I noted before that almost certainly includes 10%-15% people who oppose the bill because it's not liberal enough.
Frankly, I expect that as news coverage over the next few months shifts from the paranoid rantings of conservatives and process questions toward talking about what the bill actually does that public opinion will shift to be more favorable.
I might also note that if public opinion is our sole guide than the bill should have had a public option.

60% disapproval of the healthcare reform bill does not mean that 60% were opposed to health care reform. I'm tired of conservative dingbats trying to sell that point. A good chunk of that 60% wants single payer and opposed the bill b/c it didn't go far enough. I was one of them. I din't like the bill b/c I think we should have single payer. But I'll take it b/c it's better than the status quo which was pay through the nose every week for health insurance premiums until I get really sick and then get cut off when I need it. I owned 2 houses, had to file for bankrupcy b/c I got bone marrow cancer and they cut me off. Why? I paid my premiums? FOR 35 YEARS I PAID PREMIUMS!! Why did I get cut off? What's the point of paying into it if you can't access it when you need it? Couldn't get a laywer b/c I had med bills to pay. This is a Godsend and anyone who thinks differently is not thinking. GOOD JOB OBAMA!!! If I live, I'll be out ther plugging for you and EVERY Democrat that voted for this!!
Right on the people trusting Obama more than Republicans, KarateMonkey. Also, even the 59% oppose figure is highly misleading, for two reasons...
(1) A portion of the folks who disapprove do so because they don't feel the legislation went far *enough* - they wanted a public option. The same can be said for Obama's approval rating - many disapprove because they want him to be more strongly liberal. Thus, conservatives using these numbers to claim some compatibility with the American public is suspect. There is a reason Obama won the election and it isn't just fancy speeches and Acorn. People liked his platform.
(2) When polled on each individual component of the healthcare bill, people support it in large numbers. It's only when it's vaguely packaged as "healthcare legislation" or the like that negative figures rise. This is a result of the connotations created by the anti-marketing campaign by the bill's opponents, not a true reflection of what 'the people' want.
This certainly is not "Religious" or "Spirituality" and hardly believe it counts as "News" or "Politics". Maybe the Examiner needs a columnist for "Conspiracy" or "Paranoia".
I suppose letting insurance companies run amuck is a much better option. Blue Cross going up 12% this year. Yes.That's what I want to support. Freedom to pile my hard earned cash into the pocket of some billionare. Those who claim to defend Democracy be careful you're not promoting Plutocracy! - I hope we shall... crush in its birth the aristocracy of our
moneyed corporations, which dare already to challenge our
government to a trial of strength and bid defiance to the laws of
our country." --Thomas Jefferson to George Logan, 1816.
The selfish spirit of commerce knows no country, and feels no
passion or principle but that of gain." --Thomas Jefferson to
Larkin Smith, 1809.

From USA today.
www.usatoday.com/news/washington/2010-03-23-health-poll-favorable_N.htm
Americans by 9 percentage points have a favorable view of the health care overhaul that President Obama signed into law Tuesday, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll finds, a notable turnaround from surveys before the vote that showed a plurality against it.
By 49%-40% those surveyed say it was "a good thing" rather than a bad one that Congress passed the bill
The largest single group, 48%, calls the bill "a good first step" that should be followed by more action on health care.
The findings are encouraging for the White House and congressional Democrats, who get higher ratings than congressional Republicans for their work on the issue. The poll shows receptive terrain as the White House and advocacy groups launch efforts to sell the plan, including a trip by Obama to Iowa on Thursday."
contd.
"No one gets overwhelmingly positive ratings on the issue, but Obama fares the best: 46% say his work has been excellent or good; 31% call it poor. Congressional Democrats get an even split: 32% call their efforts good or excellent; 33% poor.
The standing of congressional Republicans is more negative. While 26% rate their work on health care as good or excellent, a larger group, 34%, say it has been poor.
Kbehrent, I agree with you for the most part. The history of America has been revised to remove God from the equation and it has been so taught in the schools. Thomas Jefferson, a deist, coined the phrase separation of church and state. This statement could have appeared in the First Amendment if the founding fathers had so chosen, but it does not. I do believe that there is judgment for America. The same is a consequence of wrongful living. As to whether hope and not death should be prophesied, my hope is in death in this world. The believers hope is the condemned mans fear.
KarateMonkey and Paul,
I believe you miss the main point which is the fact that America is screwed economically. We owe more Dollars to the Chinese and other foreign entities than exist. There is no way to pay this money back except by printing more. Far from being a solution, this merely adds to the problem as our money (Federal Reserve Notes) are nothing but IOUs. They are evidence of debt. It is my belief that this health care bill was put forth that America might have a source of income by which she can continue to meet the debt service payments by securing even more debt.
This is not about Obama being popular. His popularity rating is floating in the toilet. This is not about Republican vs. Democrat popularity ratings. This is about the FACT that America is doomed economically and about how this bill secures a source of funding to pay the band to keep playing during a game of musical chairs. There are no chairs but while the music plays, none will notice.
As long as the music plays, none will need the chairs.
The music must stop at some point. It's only a matter of time.
You know i still think we should take away tax returns to people who dont work what have they put into the system not talking about elderly or handy capped but by people that can work and wont they are known to get 5000 to 6000 back a year to sit on there rear ends and do nothing while the people that do work everyday and work hard get nothing back what is wrong i think the goverment is not thinking about this and then they get the tax returns to buy big screen tvs,4 wheelers coach purese ect and here i am working everyday and couldnt think about affording that stuff but low and behold people that dont work can hummm so look at a bill to not give tax returns to non working people you get food stamps from the goverment live in goverment housing and get goverment cash and dont work but you get tax returns i think we should stop that that is one of many issues i have thank you
"Far from being a solution, this merely adds to the problem"
The CBO disagrees with you. The project that the healthcare reform bill will cut the deficit by 130 billion dollars in the first 10 years and 1.2 trillion in the second ten.
Frankly, I'm more inclined to accept their judgment than yours.
KarateMonkey, 130 billion sounds like a great amount...until you consider the fact that it only represents 4 1/3 % of the 3 trillion America has borrowed in the last 12 months to keep the ship afloat. Also, the amount America owes the foreign interests will continue to grow. That 1.2 trillion dollar figure can only be measured against the amount of debt which will have grown due to demands of the debt service plus the additional debt America will incur to that point.
Lastly, the GAO's figures are only as good as the data they have to input. We will see if the numbers they have been given were true. I doubt those figures are correct. garbage in, garbage out.
America is overloaded with debt. She has no way to pay it back. A war with China over American repudiation of her debt is the most reasonable outcome. Either that or America surrenders her public lands to the Chinese to settle the debt.
The thinking that got us into this mess, cannot get us out of it.
