It represents an invasion force. Conservative estimates place the number of illegal immigrants in this country at more than 10 million and their numbers are growing. The epidemic of this massive influx of foreign born invaders has been the source of rancorous debate.
Few areas of the country have been more adversely affected that the state of Arizona. Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, has decided to fight back signing a controversial immigration bill known as SB 1070.
For this, she has been vilified by the press but overwhelmingly supported by the American public.
It is little wonder that the President of the United States is opposed top the bill, his own legal status as an American citizen being likewise, in question.
This inflow of illegal immigrants places a great economic strain on taxpaying, law abiding Americans.
The cost of social programs from which these foreign born illegals benefit, are paid for by American citizens. In addition many jobs which could go to the law abiding Americans, are lost. In the end, it is the legal Americans who are forced to shoulder the added burden to society.
The price to America of illegal immigration is not limited to the financial encumbrance laid on our people. There are costs to society that cannot be measured in dollars. With these invaders, come all the fruits of violent crime associated with the illegal drug trade.
Kidnappings and home invasion robberies are on the increase with no end in sight. To make matters worse, there are an increasing number of foreign born individuals from nations like Afghanistan, Iran, Pakistan, Sudan and Yemen, which are known to train terrorists. In spite of this, the Federal government opposes efforts of states like Arizona, which have taken steps to protect themselves.
In the midst of the uproar. Few consider the fact that this type of thing was prophesied to take place when God’s people turn away from him. An examination of the Bible shows that this plague upon America is a judgment from God. As he warned his people in the wilderness, so is he doing to America.
Your country is desolate, your cities are burned with fire: your land, strangers devour it in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers. The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail. Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee
As God spoke against ancient Babylon for her wickedness, so he does to modern day Babylon.
O thou that dwellest upon many waters, abundant in treasures, thine end is come, and the measure of thy covetousness. The LORD of hosts hath sworn by himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with caterpillers; and they shall lift up a shout against thee.
America has absorbed the spirit of iniquity for which ancient Babylon is known. Her goddess stands in New York harbor, showing that America is proud against the God who once blessed her. Her judgment will likewise follow that of ancient Babylon. Her people turn their backs to him and are confounded when his judgments become her calamity.
The plague of illegal immigration is but one judgement of righteous God against a rebellious nation. It may be too late for America the nation to repent, but there is still time for the individual to do so. Sadly, most will not.

Hi Craig. I don't necessarily believe that America is modern-day Babylon but I do relate to your perspective about immigration. Israel under Solomon was infiltrated by people from other lands who did not adopt Israel's customs but instead brought their own. In time, Israel crumbled from within.

You are not alone in your belief about Babylon. It is notable that Israel’s political descent was preceded by Solomon’s descent into the occult. The nation was rent in twain after his death. Although Solomon was in his beginning, the wisest man alive, yet his wisdom turned to folly. So it is with America. As she has turned away from the God of Israel, so does she reap the reward.
I follow your logical thinking Craig as I have read that passage with my own two eyes.He also states his conditions for removal of this punishment. Its our choice and from my experience the Father has unlimited powers so choose wisely.
The Bible tells us how to treat the foreigner, to not mistreat them.
Sinners yes curse no.
He became a curse for all of us.
God loves them and God does not love curses.
nothing too add explains our times clearly. but you know i gotta tell you , im cuban , white cuban. So i fight back knowing its a loosing battle. cause its not within my control. everything is true. they own lend command. Now mexican cops latino police who give me trouble.

I do not agree with the Mexicans but I treat them good because they are people. I think God will help them until they worship him and cease to worship false gods such Marian or Virgin Mary because it is written: Thou shalt not serve false gods before me for I am a jealous God who visit their iniquity from generation to generation. Because this is the greatest commandments whom God commands them for it is written: Thou shalt love thy God, with all of thy heart, and strength.
